The Special Star

The Special Star
This story is about the special star that loved what it heard that it soon found itself here on earth

People often say that stars are just suns that are far, far away, but I’m not so sure that’s true. I learned this when I was around 20 years old during a solo adventure in the Egyptian desert. I was looking for excitement and ended up with an experience I’ll never forget.

One day, after wandering the desert for nearly five hours, I was completely worn out. I had run out of water and had nothing to do but sit by the tent I had set up. I decided to light a fire and cook some raw fish I had brought along.

With nothing else to do, I found myself staring up at the sky and talking to a particular star.

This star shone brighter than any of the others, and I told it all about my day. I shared stories about the mysterious tombs I had discovered and the friendly Arab men who had given me some water.

I talked so much that I didn’t even notice my burning fish. It was the smell of my cooking fish that pulled me back to reality.

All the same, I felt like it was almost like the star was listening and enjoying my stories. That night, I slept soundly with a smile on my face.

The next day, as I returned from another long walk, I looked up at my star, eager to share more stories. But something was different this time. The star seemed closer than before. But I didn’t think much of it – I just thought it was just a normal thing.

Each day, as I continued to share my adventures, the star seemed to get closer and closer until one night, it suddenly hurtled toward me, landing about 20 meters from where I was.

I rushed over to see what had just happened and was amazed!

The star had transformed into something like a giant starfish with five sharp points and a big, friendly smile in the middle. It looked so much like a starfish but much bigger and with a sparkle that still glimmered.

The star spoke to me in a gentle voice. “I’ve come to talk to you, my friend. I’ve always heard your stories but never had the chance to reply. Now, I can!” it said.

It was so exciting, we spoke for hours sharing different stories with each other.

But while it was thrilling to finally speak with my star, I noticed it was starting to lose its shine. The desert air was not kind to it. The star needed to return to the sky to stay alive.

We faced a big problem: the star didn’t know how to get back, and I didn’t have a clue either.

In a desperate attempt to help my new friend, I took a picture and posted it on social media. I shared the story of how the star needed to return to space and asked for help. I knew there was a risk that some of the government researchers might find out and use the star for experiments, but I had to try.

To my amazement, the post went viral.

Many people saw it and spread the word to wealthy and influential individuals who arranged for a special rocket to rescue the star.

The star was successfully launched back into space, and the story made headlines everywhere.

I was thrilled that my friend was back where he belonged.

From then on, I never felt alone.

Moral: Friendship can come from the most unlikely of places.#
