This story is about a gamer. There was this young man that loved playing video games so much. No matter how much everyone told him that it wasn’t good for him or his health. He would hear none of it. He played his video games for hours on end and the only time he left his chair is when he needed to get some food. Even when he needed to sleep, he would put on his special air pods. The boy wanted to be woken up whenever notifications came through. He just did not want to miss a thing as far as the games were concerned. The young boy wanted to be a dedicated gamer.
He did not have a job and to maintain his lifestyle, he would ask his parents for money. The gamer always told his parents that he did not have a job. As he needed to make his gaming experience better. After a few years of seeing how he spent their money on useless gaming items and yet there was no improvement in him or his behavior, they decided to cut him off financially telling him to get a job.
He tried a few jobs here and there but no one wanted to keep him. The young boy never knew how to do anything and when he did something, he never did it well. Things were not going well for him. The bills started piling up and he risked being evicted from his home if he did not pay up.
It was then that he decided to do something crazy. He went to his parents’ home, stole some money from them. Soon he went to a sketchy internet doctor who had promised to transfer him into his favorite game. At last he would live a simple life inside the game where no one would ask him to work or pay money for anything, he thought.
When the day came, he went in for his appointment. When he got to the surgery room, the doctor gave him some sleeping gas. Once the sleeping gas was in his system, he started dreaming of his new life. He wanted a life inside his favorite game having all the fun in the world. It was when he woke up that he found himself in the dumpster with nothing.
Turns out the sketchy internet doctor was sketchy after all. The young man had to find a way to make money to survive. No one wanted to work with him and the only job he got was the school janitor where this time, he had no choice but to work well to get paid.
Moral: Don’t be lazy.
