The ogre with diamond teeth

There was once a man who used to mine diamonds. He had heard of an ogre who lived in the mountains of the South that had gigantic diamond teeth. He knew that if he killed the ogre all the teeth in his mouth would be his making him the richest man on earth.

This young miner made it his mission to hunt down the ogre. He traveled far and wide until he got to the section of the mountains where the ogre lived. When he got to the caves he suspected was where the ogre’s lived, he was surprised to see his cousin seated just outside the ogre’s cave.

His first instinct was to rescue his cousin from the ogre. Only to realize that his cousin did not want to be rescued. It was then that the cousin mentioned to him that the ogre was his father. He had been living with him for some time now. He could not believe what he had just heard. As they were growing up, his cousin had always told them that he did not have a father. Turns out, his father was an ogre making his cousin half-human and half-ogre.

Just then, the ogre came back home, to its cave. The ogre had always been weary of humans as they used to hunt him down for his teeth. Just as he was about to pounce on the young miner, his cousin intervened and saved him. He explained to the ogre who he really was. It was at this point that the young miner mentioned to the ogre why he had come to hunt him down, asking him for forgiveness for being so greedy as to want to kill him just to make himself rich.

The ogre was so touched by his truthfulness that he gave him one of his diamond teeth which had been aching him for a while. The young miner went away rich and having made a new friend with the ogre. The ogre was now pain-free as his aching tooth had now been removed.
