The street dog

The story of the street dog. Doggy was one of the cutest and furriest dogs on the streets. He was just an ordinary street dog who had the shiniest coat of fur. Doggy lived on the streets as no human had been able to afford to take care of him. Doggy also had a special collar around his neck. No matter what he did to try and get it off, he was never able to. Other dogs made fun of his collar and even tried to help him get it off but they never succeeded.

To survive and get food, Doggy relied on his looks to gain sympathy from the humans and their children. They would come to the park to play with Doggy. In turn, they would leave Doggy with some food. This kept him well until the next time the children came back to the park to play. Doggy always looked forward to these times as he loved playing and being around humans and none of the other homeless dogs understood why.

One day, a hungry homeless man came to the alley where Doggy slept looking for something to eat. He captured Doggy looking to kill him just to get some food. The homeless man was so hungry. He had no idea he was about to capture and kill a dog. He never thought about what he was doing as he was too hungry to think.

While Doggy was fighting with him and struggling to get away so as to save his life, the homeless man while aiming to cut off his neck, just managed to cut and pull away his special collar from his neck. Just then, Doggy transformed into a human boy. A boy who had been missing from his home for quite some time now.

The homeless man felt pity for the lost boy and took him to live with him. Unfortunately for them, they did not have any food to sustain them and since the boy could no longer get free food from children, they both ended up starving to death.

Moral: Don’t take someone in if you can’t take care of them.
