I was once a grown man but now I am a child with a grown man’s brain, and this is my story.
I was once an accomplished scientist who had won many awards for developing groundbreaking creams that had healed millions in my country, Jafri. In my last assignment, I was working on a special cream that would make someone younger. To celebrate this great achievement, I invited all my friends and colleagues for dinner at my house where I had cooked a delicious meal to share with them and celebrate this accomplishment. It was perfect.
There was a land where animals lived in peace before humans were created to live among them. One day, 2 strange human beings fell out of the sky and the animals did not know what to make of this. Before they could introduce themselves, they decided to observe what they did while on their land. They noticed that the man-made a dam and so they decided to call him by his creation, Adam. The woman on the other hand, would sing beautiful songs every evening and they called her Eve.
Under the sea lived a family of mermaids that had special powers. Their powers allowed them to draw beautiful pictures and bring them to life. This made their home one of the most beautiful homes under the sea.
News of their powers travelled far and wide making the pirates greedy for their power. The pirates had been hunting mermaids for several years but none of them had successfully caught a mermaid from this family. Among the pirates, was a boy determined to catch one of the mermaids and steal its power. He knew the way to succeed was to practice breathing underwater over long periods of time. He was so determined that he practiced so hard, he got gills.
There once was a man who had a robotic dog that was always looking for a friend. The owner was very mean to the dog. He not only made him guard the house, but he also overworked him by giving him work that he was not programmed to do. Looking to build a friend robot to keep him company, it would always bury the man’s gadgets in the hope of making a new robotic owner. It made a gentle robotic giant that the dog loved more than its owner.
Once there was an alien who was known to be the ugliest one on his planet. Everyone on his planet was very handsome and they all believed he was abnormal for looking different. They all bullied him day in, day out when he was a child, and this hurt him very much.
He did not let this kill his spirit. Having read many stories like the Ugly Duckling with very beautiful endings, he believed that he would also have his happy ending one day. He hoped that he would grow up to be a very handsome alien on his planet. Still, this did not happen.
There was once a chicken that was made of mud. He had been brought to life by a witch who wanted to create a chicken that she could use to make her spells; using her magic, she created a chicken from mud. One day, the mud chicken was curious about the outside world and he decided to run away from the witch’s house. On his way, he found himself on a nearby chicken farm where he was happy to see other creatures who looked just like him that he decided to live with them. Unaware of his origin, he believed he too was a real chicken.
The snails were always curious about what happens inside the human houses. Whenever the humans went to sleep or left the doors open, they would slowly glide into their houses to feed on the crumbs left on the floor. In one compound, a family was known for having the wildest parties drinking special lemonade. On several occasions, they would leave the lemonade spilt all over the floors that it soon started to attract the snails to the house. In the evenings, the snails would enter the house, sip the lemonade that was on the floor and have their own party before the family woke up. As they partied and sipped on the special lemonade, it would give them unusual strength which made them do strange things like moving the family’s furniture around the house. This would puzzle the family every morning.
Once there was a T-rex called Alex who unlike the rest of his family, did not eat meat. He preferred eating insects and to satisfy his body size, he would eat so many insects that eventually the insects in the forest they lived in started to disappear. This made the animals that ate insects to die and this also affected the dinosaurs.
When the dinosaur family couldn’t find anything to eat, they decided to go to the nearest forest looking for animals to eat as their side of the forest had become lifeless.
Once there was a boy named Jack who was always afraid of the dark. One day while home alone, he was startled by a strange noise coming from his bedroom. Afraid, he quickly ran to the basement to hide from what was causing the strange noises. Unknown to him, an invisible monster had come in through the window looking for a snack and while he was running down the basement, the invisible monster followed closely behind.
Before he could get to the safest corner in the basement, the monster managed to take a big bite of Jack’s leg causing him to scream in pain. Unable to see what or who had bitten his leg, he screamed so loudly in the hope of scaring the monster away. What shocked Jack in all this, was the fact that he could see his leg go down in what seemed to be a monster’s throat.
There once was a young man called Okonyo who lived in a village where all children had powers to fly. The children in this village would always be seen flying in the air, singing happy tunes. These flying powers did not last forever. As the children turned 12 years old, their powers would mysteriously fade away.
