My Story

I was once a grown man but now I am a child with a grown man’s brain, and this is my story. I was once an accomplished scientist who had won many awards for developing groundbreaking creams that had healed millions in my country, Jafri. In my last assignment, I was working on a special cream that would make someone younger. To celebrate this great achievement, I invited all my friends and colleagues for dinner at my house where I had cooked a delicious meal to share with them and celebrate this accomplishment. It was perfect.

I was once an accomplished scientist. Who had won many awards for developing groundbreaking creams that had healed millions in my country, Jafri. In my last assignment, I was working on a special cream that would make someone younger.

To celebrate this great achievement, I invited all my friends and colleagues for dinner at my house. Where I had cooked a delicious meal to share with them and celebrate this accomplishment. We danced and sang along to our favorite songs. We also played my favorite board game snakes and ladders. It was perfect.

That was the last thing I remembered from that night. Out of jealousy, my workmates had put a special cream on my plate of food which turned me into a baby. I had fallen asleep like a baby and when I woke up the next morning, I found myself in another home. With a family that I did not recognize. They spoke to me and treated me like their baby. My workmates had given me up to my ‘new parents’ telling them that I was found by their doorstep. They had planned this the whole time.

One day, while my new parents were watching the news, I saw my workmates showing off the cream I had made. They were taking credit for my work. I tried telling my story to everyone, about the cream I had developed and how my friends had tricked me. I felt like they were not listening.

No one believed me because all they saw was a child. The pain of being a child with an adult’s brain has been terrible.

I hope you believe in my story. My name is Al.
