This story is about a peaceful spider. There once was a spider that loved watching humans. He usually sat on top of the tallest building in town, in one of the spouts. The spider would watch people walk around the streets, doing their business. He especially loved watching the street fights which he found so interesting and would usually watch these fights until he fell asleep. Over time, he decided to move his home to the spout on this building without thinking of the backlash from his decision.
One day, as the spider was watching the usual street shenanigans, he fell asleep. It was such a peaceful spider asleep that he did not realize it when the weather started changing. Dark clouds started forming and everyone started heading inside except the spider who was still asleep. The rain eventually started falling and the spider started getting carried away by the rainwater. He tried his best to climb up the spout but sadly, his efforts bore no fruits.
Eventually, he got tired of going against the rain and he let himself get carried away with the rainwater. Right then, there was a man who was watching the spider from his window and to remember this moment, he decided to write a song about it. A song that is now famously sung by children all over the world.
