A true Friend

The story of the true friend. It was Sunday morning and I was ready with my bags packed and my spirits high. I was meeting my friend at the airport. I had won a writing competition whose prize was a trip to Paris. With an all-expense paid tour of Paris and a trip back home. As the winner, I had the choice to bring a plus one and I chose my friend who helped me learn about the competition. I just could not leave him behind since he was also my best friend.

He was a really nice guy and he usually played a lot of online games. Which made him really good at them and sometimes if he was lucky he would win money. I was always jealous because I had no source of income like him. He noticed this and one day, he came up to me and said “Since you like reading books maybe you can write stories?” I have a competition you can do for fun just to see where your writing skills are at.”

It was the competition for tickets to Paris, and he was my plus one because he encouraged me to enter the competition as he had noticed that playing online games just was not my thing. That was a true friend but unfortunately our friendship got separated as we grew older.

Today I’m a popular writer who has made so much money from the books I write and I still look for him to this day.

Moral: Always encourage people to do what you think they are best at.
