The tale of Jones and the dark shadow. Jones had finally found the perfect home. It was a lovely place far away from any other house. He was happy that he would finally be settled, away from all the noise of the city. He spent his first day setting everything up in its perfect place and he longed for a peaceful and restful night, but that was not to be. That night he heard a mysterious creature in one of his bedroom closets.
At first, he thought he was imagining the noises and he went straight to bed. He must have been so tired from all the work he had done during the day that he just fell fast asleep only to have horrible nightmares all through the night. The next morning, he woke up tired not sure what had happened to him the previous night. Jones felt the dark shadow during the night.
On the second night, as soon as he went to bed, he heard the mysterious creature yet again; this time, he was scared for sure…. Was his new home haunted? He could not believe that this was happening to him in his new home. He gathered up his courage to go check out where the noise was coming from. In every corner, every closet he checked, he did not see what was making the strange noises; but in the dark, was a dark shadow that was lurking around the house.
The only way the mysterious creature became visible is when he was asleep. Instead of having a peaceful night, it would cause Jones’s nightmares to come alive, roaming around the house and causing him to have a terrifying and more exhausting night. No matter how much he tried, he did not enjoy his nights and this made him start hating his new home. Without a restful night, he became grumpy and tired all the time.
The mysterious creature loved Jones’s new look. The more tired and grumpy he became, the tastier he looked at the mysterious creature. The mysterious creature was a dark shadow that loved to tire people out just to eat them up piece by piece. And just when Jones had had enough of his new house and had decided to leave, the dark shadow did what Jones did not expect at all ….. He cut him up into tiny little pieces and ate every small piece.
Moral: Investigate before making big decisions.
