The tale about the fat boy and his classmates reminds that we should be good to others no matter what.
There was once a boy who loved eating more than anything else. He ate everything he could see—food, fruits, vegetables, cookies, and even big slices of cake! Even though his friends and family told him to eat less, he thought eating was wonderful with lots of benefits. For example, saving up his energy, making him feel strong and keeping him warm when it was cold and chilly. And it’s true when everyone else around him seemed to shiver in the cold, he was always toasty and warm.
But there was one thing that made him sad. His classmates teased him because he was bigger than them. They made fun of him and said unkind things, so he didn’t like being around them much.
One day, something exciting happened. The school planned an educational trip to Australia, and to make the trip more exciting, the children would travel by a big ship across the sea! This to the boy was very exciting and he looked foward to having some fun with his classmates.
The day of the trip finally arrived, and everyone was thrilled to board the ship. The cruise started out fantastic! The kids ran around the decks, exploring every corner of the huge ship.
But then, something scary happened. The ship hit a giant rock floating in the sea (an iceberg). The rock made big cracks in the ship, and water started pouring in. The ship was sinking and everyone was now thrown into the sea!
While the other kids were panicking and struggling to stay afloat in the water, the boy floated calmly to the the surface. His size made it very east to float around! Seeing his classmates in trouble, he remembered how they had teased him in the past – thinking about the number of times they teased and laughed at him, yet he knew he had to help them.
With a big heart, he quickly found a large piece of wood and helped all his classmates climb onto it. He then grabbed a piece of cloth that was floating nearby and used it to pull them across the sea towards safety.
The boy had just saved his classmates from the cold, choppy waters.
They were so grateful and that they cheered for him, singing praises marking him as their new hero.
And so, the boy who loved to eat became the class hero.
Moral of the Story: Even if people are unkind, being kind and helping others can make you a true hero.
