The Cautionary Tale of Al

Cautionary Tale of Al

This is the cautionary tale of Al who trusted his friends too much that they played him a fool.

Once upon a time, in the vibrant country of Jafri, there was a brilliant scientist named Al. Al had dedicated his life to inventing amazing creams that healed countless people. He was known far and wide for his incredible work and had won numerous awards for his contributions to science.

One day, Al achieved a major milestone—he developed a groundbreaking cream that could make someone look and feel younger. Eager to celebrate his success, he invited all his friends and colleagues to his home. The evening was filled with joy: a delicious dinner, lively dancing, and singing. They even played Al’s favorite board game, Snakes and Ladders. It was a perfect night, or so it seemed.

But that was the last thing Al remembered about that night. Unknown to him, his colleagues were driven by envy and jealousy. They had secretly slipped a dose of the special cream into Al’s dinner, planning to use his own invention against him. As he fell into a peaceful sleep, the effects of the cream began to work.

The next morning, Al awoke not in his own home, but in a house he didn’t recognize. A family he didn’t know was treating him like their own baby. His colleagues had abandoned him, leaving him at the doorstep of this new family, claiming they had found him there.

Al was horrified and confused. As days went by, he saw on the news that his former colleagues were now taking credit for his invention. They praised the very cream that had turned him into a child. Frustrated, Al tried to tell everyone the truth—that he was the real inventor and had been tricked. But no one believed him. To them, he was just a child.

Living with the mind of an adult in the body of a baby was a painful and humiliating experience. Al’s pleas for help were ignored because people only saw a child, not the brilliant scientist trapped inside.

I am Al, and this is my story. I hope you take my caution to heart: be careful whom you trust, for envy and deceit can come from the most unexpected places.

Moral: Not everyone is who they seem to be, and trust can sometimes lead to betrayal.
