The tale of Antsy the lazy Ant. As we all know, ants are very hard-working creatures and the ants on this farm were no exception. The ants worked day and night to save up and prepare for the coming winter. They all loved their jobs and they would happily sing as they did what they needed to do except for this one ant.
Antsy the lazy Ant was the laziest of the bunch. While the rest were working, he would pretend to be working by carrying incredibly light things. When no one was watching, he would sneak out of the pack to go and just sit and relax. Other times, he would even lie that the queen had sent him to make some deliveries. Antsy would pretend to go for errands only for him to sneak off to the beach for a day in the sun. He just made sure that no one was around to see him or where he was going as he knew the queen would not be happy.
One ant was however curious about Antsy’s mysterious disappearances and errands. He decided to secretly follow Antsy to all the places he went. It was then that he realized that Antsy mostly spent his days doing nothing. He was so disgusted by his behavior that he immediately ran to the queen to report what he had just witnessed.
Antsy was immediately summoned by the queen who gave him a very harsh punishment. The queen made him work twice as hard as the other ants. To make matters worse, he was not allowed to take any breaks or even ask for help.
Antsy ended up working so hard that he eventually broke his back.
Moral: Laziness does not pay
