The story of the poisoned water. There was once a funky town where everyone had powers. They all had different powers that they used for the good of the town and the towns next to them. No one dared mess with their town or any of the surrounding towns, as anyone they caught doing any crime would be taken to jail with no option of release.
One day, the town started experiencing weird sensations. It was also around this same time that their powers started weakening and eventually disappearing one by one. The towns folk tried investigating the cause of this strange phenomenon. Unfortunately, they did not come up with any evidence. They however remembered this one villain who had been released from jail a long time ago because of his good behavior. The townspeople all swarmed at his house accusing him of taking their powers away from them.No matter how much he tried pleading and telling them that he was innocent; they would hear none of it. They all did not believe him and they instead took him back to jail.
The problem however still persisted as the people in the town continued losing their powers. Sooner or later, they discovered the cause of all their problems was in the water they drank.
Upset by what was happening, one of the brightest kids in the town offered to do research on the reasons why their water had such effects on them. He would spend his days by the river source, going from its source to its end, trying to find what was happening without much luck. He did this for a while before the rest of the people in the town started becoming suspicious of him.
They followed the young child for some days trying to understand what he was doing until they discovered something unexpected. While he pretended to be researching and investigating, he was actually using this time to poison the water. He poisoned the water with a substance that weakened everyone’s powers. Turns out he wanted to be the only hero left in the town, taking all the glory to himself.
Moral: Be careful of how you judge someone’s character.
