Angel was a boy who loved making people laugh and happy. His parents gave him this name because he was born floating in the air! And as if that was not enough, whenever he cried or laughed, he would float higher and higher. It was as if his emotions made him float and drift off the ground!
Like when Angel yawned too much —whoosh!—he’d float up into the air. Other times, he’d be having fun with his friends, enjoying a funny joke, and—whoosh!—up he’d go again! Even when he was asleep, if he started dreaming and smiled just a little, up he would float, only to fall back down with a loud thud, waking his parents and everyone in the house with a shock!
Angel really wanted to stop floating. He prayed and asked God for help, wishing he could be like everyone else and stay grounded.
But instead of an answer to stop floating, God told him something comforting: “Everything will be okay, and in time, you’ll learn to control it.”
And learn he did. As Angel grew older,he even began to grow wings that helped him fly around anytime the urge to float came over him.
With time, he began to fly all over town, spreading cheer and happiness to everyone he met.
Whether it was helping a neighbor, sharing a smile with a friend, or just soaring through the sky, Angel’s wings (which at first started as uncontrolled floating) became his gift to the world.
