Lost in the Desert

The tale of lost in the desert. There was a boy who did not have much food, so to survive he stole from shops and houses. People hated this but still felt sorry for him because he was an orphan who was trying to survive. One man decided to fix the problem himself. So he decided to trick the boy by telling him he would take him to a place where he would be loved and taken care of by kind men and women. But unfortunately, he was tricked and taken to the cruelest place on earth where no one cared about the other.

It was sad how the man tricked the boy. As everyone in this new place was so mean and he wouldn’t even dare steal food because he would be killed on the spot. No one cared about him because everyone was trying to survive. He knew he couldn’t live in such a place so he decided to walk and get back home somehow. He knew if he accepted what happened and did nothing about it, he would surely die of hunger. Most of all, he wanted to get his revenge on the cruel man who brought him there.

His home town was far and the path was through a desert. Which made the journey back treacherous but he had to endure. About a quarter way through, the boy felt lost in the desert.  It was so hot he passed out. Lucky for him, a man found him covered in sand, and laying under the blazing sun. As soon as the man realized the boy was still alive, he immediately hydrated him. He covered him with a blanket and put him on his donkey. The boy woke up and told the man his name was Olla. Olla explained to the man what had happened to him. The man was happy to help the boy get back to his hometown. As it turned out, the man also lived in the same town the boy came from.

When they got to the town, the man took the boy to his house only for the boy to see the man that tricked him living in the same house. They were brothers.

“YOU, why did you send me away” shouted the boy in shock.

“Well, I only did it to protect you”, said the man. He told him of the way the towns people had plotted together to kill him as they felt his stealing habits were encouraging bad behavior in the town.

It was then that the man who found Olla in the desert suggested to adopt him. The man who had plotted against him apologized to him and from then on, they lived together in the same house.
