The story of the goat that saved the president. Frei was a goat who was known for his eating habits. He loved eating so much that he would travel far and wide looking for great-tasting foods. To him, eating was his hobby and he took it seriously. It’s like he sensed wherever there was a feast as no matter where the food was, he would somehow find his way there. He had even been on the news once for his traveling and food adventures.
One day, the president was hosting the biggest feast in the land. It was always known that any presidential function had the most delicious food around town and Frei would definitely not be missing this one. Everyone including Frei was happy and looking forward to the feast.
As soon as everyone was settled and eating the food that had been prepared, Frei noticed a piece of chicken that had fallen just next to the president. Not one to waste any food, he quickly rushed to the president’s side to pick up the piece of chicken wing that had fallen. It was just then that a bullet flew through him, narrowly missing the president. Unknowingly, Frei had just saved the president from a snipper’s bullet, which was supposed to kill him.
Unfortunately for him, the bullet did not spare his life, instead, he died on the spot.
The people were so grateful to Frei for saving the president’s life that they named the day after him. The day that we now know as Friday was named so courtesy of Frei, the goat that saved the president.
Moral: You will be rewarded for the good you do.
