This is the tale of the foot that got it’s own life.
Once upon a time, there was a little boy riding his bike down a path. One day, he wobbled and fell, scraping his foot. Ouch! he screamed!
Nearby, he saw a big building and hoped he could get some help.
When the boy went inside the building, he found out it was old and empty. But there was a puddle of water on the floor with a sign that said “Do Not Touch.” The boy didn’t see the sign and thought the water might help clean his scraped foot, so he dipped his foot in.
Suddenly, something wierd happened! His foot started to grow and grow until it popped off, out of his body and ran away, hopping and skipping like a happy little bunny! The boy was so surprised and tried to chase after it, but he couldn’t catch up because he was only hopping on one leg!
Since he couldn’t walk properly, the boy tried to use some sticks from the nearby fence to create some crutches to support him. He kept hopping after his runaway foot, but it was too fast for him.
Some friendly policemen, who were patrolling the town, saw the boy chasing after the foot and thought that the runaway foot might be out to cause some trouble. So they decided to help.
The boy and the police chased the foot, but the little foot wasn’t trying to be naughty. It just wanted to have fun! It wanted to ride carnival rides, taste yummy foods, and explore the world on its own.
But when the policemen started making shouting at the foot, trying to get it to stop, the foot got very upset. It did not want to be caught or even be made to stop having fun. So, it stuck out its toe like it was making a funny face, and flew up into the sky, disappearing like a shooting star.
The boy remained one legged and the foot was never spotted again.
Moral: Do not be quick to jump to conclusions.
