This is a tale about Johnny the overconfident. There was once a pro wrestler called Johnny who spent his entire life training to be the best and strongest wrestler in the world. He achieved this and earned the world record. Johnny won three hundred matches in a row without losing a single one. He earned many fans and got money from sponsors from all over the country. He got so much fame that it eventually got to him and he started thinking he was better than everyone else.
Away from wrestling, he started participating in a competition which made many people homeless. The game was called ‘Win it or Lose it’. It was a game where different people would fight. The rules were whoever won would either take the losers career leaving them with nothing. Alternatively, they would switch careers so the other opponent still had a job but this rarely happened.
Johnny won all his fights and usually kept other people’s careers. So that in case his was taken, he would have many careers to choose from. Time passed and he still remained undefeated. Johnny the overconfident was his new name. Eventually, Johnny saw no need for the extra careers he had accumulated. He gave them to homeless people so he would seem more like a hero but what he didn’t know was that he would regret that very decision.
The day he gave away all his extra careers, was the day he lost his very first match. He was lucky to have gotten a career switch from his opponent but what he did not count on, was that the person who beat him was a wrestling coach who didn’t get paid too well. It was at this point that he wished he kept his careers instead of giving them all away.
Moral: Don’t be overconfident anything can happen
