All he needed were friends is a tale about the power of having good friendships to share your time with
On a sunny, calm day, a boy named John was enjoying his summer holiday. He had finished all his homework and now had twenty whole days to have fun. But there was a problem—John didn’t know how to spend his time. None of his friends lived nearby, so he felt a little lonely.
John was lucky because his family had some money, so he decided to try out different activities to find something he liked. He spent a whole week trying out various things, like going to amusement parks, playing mini-golf, and visiting museums. But nothing seemed to make him happy or excited.
John’s parents were trying to help too, but even they didn’t know what to suggest. John felt like he was just wasting money and time. Nothing seemed right.
One day, after trying so many different activities, John decided to give swimming another try. Even though he hadn’t enjoyed it much before, he thought he’d try again.
When he got to the pool, he met a group of boys who were playing games in the water. They invited John to join them, and soon he was having a blast!
John played and laughed with his new friends. For the first time in days, he was enjoying himself and he felt truly happy.
He realized that no amount of money could make him happy – instead, what he had been missing was friends to share fun times with.
From that day on, John spent his free time swimming and playing with the boys he met at the pool.
Moral: Friends can turn boring days into fun adventures.
