The story of the brilliant businessman. There was once a man who really wanted to become a businessman. He was a smart man with a lot of brilliant ideas. Unfortunately he did not have the money to implement any of the ideas that he thought of. He was always ‘broke’ and any money that he got would be just enough for his food and nothing else.
He tried looking for a job but he was never lucky enough to get a job in places he wished to have worked. Instead, he ended up getting a job in one of the restaurants on the outskirts of town, up in the countryside.
The owner of the restaurant loved working with him as he was very hard-working. With time, the brilliant businessman even started sharing his wonderful ideas with his boss and his fellow workmates. Every idea they implemented worked so well that the restaurant soon started getting popular.
It was then that his colleagues in the restaurant started realizing that they needed him. They did not want to take any chances of having him leave the restaurant. So they decided to lock him up in the restaurant’s basement. They did not allow him to leave the basement at all. In fact, the only way he got any food was by him telling them ideas.
He could not believe what they were doing to him. Instead of giving them good ideas, he gave them bad ideas that started making the restaurant lose its customers. With time, no one was coming to the restaurant for anything and it soon became a deserted place.
Moral: Don’t mistreat those helping you.
