The quarreling camels went away from their owner in search of a better life – but did they succeed?
Once upon a time, in the vast, endless desert, there were two camels named Jacob and Qualo. They weren’t just any camels—they had big dreams. Tired of being tied down and following orders from their master, they decided to run away, eager to explore the world beyond the desert. They wanted freedom, adventure, and to see what lay beyond the horizon.
But after three long days of wandering through the scorching heat with no water and no food, things weren’t as exciting as they’d imagined. The desert was dry, and the sun beat down relentlessly. Jacob and Qualo’s bodies were growing weak. Their throats were dry, and their feet burned from the hot sand. Their freedom felt like a distant dream.
As they stumbled through the endless desert, Jacob began to feel angry. He looked at Qualo, who was walking beside him, barely able to keep going. “This is all your fault, Qualo!” Jacob shouted, his voice hoarse from thirst. “You wanted to see the world, and now we’re going to die out here, alone, with nothing but sand around us.”
Qualo, his mouth too dry to speak, didn’t reply. He had nothing left to say. He just kept moving, his steps slow and shaky. But Jacob’s anger grew. “You should have listened to me! We had it good with our master, and now we’re paying the price for your foolishness!”
Frustrated by Qualo’s silence, Jacob snapped. His fury boiled over, and before he knew it, he was charging at Qualo. The two camels began to fight, struggling in the hot desert sands. They fought with all the strength they had left, but neither of them was truly strong anymore.
Jacob, angry and tired, was no match for Qualo’s desperation. Qualo fought back with every ounce of strength he had left, determined to survive, even though he was just as weak and thirsty as Jacob.
The fight raged on until both camels collapsed on the ground, exhausted and broken. The desert seemed even quieter now, with only the wind whispering through the endless dunes.
Hours later, their master, who had been searching for them, finally found them in the desert. He had searched far and wide, following the faint trail of footprints in the sand.
When he spotted his camels lying in the sand, his heart sank. One camel was still breathing, but the other… was not. Can you guess which one?
Moral: In times of trouble, it’s important to help each other, not fight. When we work together, we have a better chance of surviving, no matter how difficult the journey might seem.
