This is a story about the powerless boy who was not as powerless as everyone has assumed
In a town full of heroes lived a boy named John. John was the kid everyone called the “powerless boy.” Unlike the other kids, who had cool powers, John was always left out and picked on. They’d call him names and tease him, which only made John more determined to show them that he was also worth something.
Nearby, there was a notorious villain named Kiljoy. Kiljoy was infamous for causing trouble in the town, and everyone feared him. One day, John decided he’d had enough. He set off to confront Kiljoy at his camp, hoping to find something that could help him defend his town.
While sneaking around Kiljoy’s camp, John stumbled upon a hidden message that was coded in a way only cross-eyed people could read. John wasn’t cross-eyed, but he managed to decipher the message. It read: “The army is coming.”
John’s heart raced—Kiljoy was planning to launch a surprise attack on his town with an army of henchmen!
Determined to save his town, John rushed back to warn the heroes. But when he told them about the message and the impending attack, they just laughed at him. “Look at John, thinking he’s a hero,” they mocked. “He doesn’t even have any powers!”
Despite their ridicule, John didn’t give up. He knew something the others didn’t. He remembered that Kiljoy’s army were all cross-eyed people, and they had one weakness: they were susceptible to bright ultraviolet light, which triggered seizures in them. John decided to use this knowledge to his advantage.
He quickly got to work setting up a trap. He used the town’s existing light poles to install powerful ultraviolet beams and laid out a massive net at the town’s entrance. It was a risky plan, but John was ready.
When Kiljoy and his army finally attacked, John switched on the ultraviolet lights. The intense beams caused Kiljoy’s henchmen to shake uncontrollably from their seizures. They stumbled and fell right into the giant net John had set up. With the net pulled tight, the entire army was trapped!
The town’s heroes were amazed and quickly rallied to help John. Together, they transported Kiljoy and his defeated army to a high-security prison in outer space, ensuring they could never cause trouble again.
The town celebrated John’s bravery and cleverness, and he finally earned the respect he deserved. From that day on, everyone knew that even someone without apparent powers could be a hero.
Moral: Anyone can be a hero, no matter how unlikely they might seem.
