There are some jobs that are useless but still pay well and this story is an example of one useless job that ended a man’s life.
There was a man called Hazel who worked as an accountant in a city called Andy. He didn’t love his job but it gave him a stable lifestyle and that was good enough for him. He wasn’t the hardest worker so when a rich chef came looking for lazy workers, he was offered up as a person who could work for the chef by his boss. The rich chef offered him one of the best offers anyone could ask for and this was for him to come and become his food taster and earn money while at it.
Of course he agreed…that is what any sane person would do, but it came at a cost. He had to eat whenever the chef wanted him to and that was about every hour. Even when he was full he couldn’t do anything but eat and that made him very chunky, and after a year of this, he got too fat and couldn’t take it anymore, so he quit.
While he was working for the Chef, he never used to get out much as he was needed to always be available for the food tasting. He found that he had forgotten many things about life outside including how to even cross the road. In all the confusion, he almost got hit by a car, and this scared him so much that he got a heart attack. Unfortunately, because of all the fat in his body, the doctors found that it had squeezed his heart so much they could not save him and he eventually died.
Moral: Not everything that seems good ends up well
