Ever heard of the story about the little red riding hood and wondered what the wolfs side of the story was?
Once upon a time, a tired wolf trudged home, his stomach growling with hunger. All day long, he had tried to get into a pig’s brick house, but it was no use. No matter how much he huffed and puffed, he just couldn’t get inside. Exhausted, he walked down the path home when he spotted a little girl carrying a basket full of delicious food and fruits!
The wolf’s mouth watered. He really was not interested in eating little girl, rather, he looked at the basket and it was just too good to pass up. He decided to find out where the little girl was going with such a tasty treat.
When the girl told him she was on her way to visit her grandmother, the wolf’s mind started whirring with a sneaky plan. He decided that if he could get his way with the basket of food, it would be worth all his efforts.
He quickly raced ahead to the grandmother’s house, hid the old lady in the closet, and put on her clothes. He hoped that when the girl arrived, she would simply drop off the basket and leave. The wolf grinned at his clever disguise.
When the little girl arrived and saw her “grandmother,” she noticed something strange. First, the “grandma” looked and sounded a bit odd. She asked questions to confirm that she was indeed her ‘grandma’, but the wolf couldn’t answer them correctly. The more the little girl questioned, the angrier the wolf got.
Sensing something was wrong, the little girl decided to leave in a hurry, taking her basket of food with her. The wolf, desperate for the food, started chasing after her, calling out for her to leave the basket behind.
Unfortunately for the wolf, a hunter walking past the house saw the commotion. Mistaking the wolf’s intentions, the hunter thought the wolf was trying to hurt the little girl. Without thinking, the hunter shot an arrow, hitting straight at the wolf.
Happy, the little girl was grateful to be alive safe.
Unable to find her grandmother, she and the hunter assumed that she had been eaten whole by the wolf and they cut opne the inside of the wolf’s stomach, hoping to find the grandmother, but there was nothing there.
What a sad ending for the wolf who just wanted to eat the food basket.
Moral of the Story: Never try to take what does not belong to you, and always think twice before making plans that can hurt others.
