They called him the Boy Who Turned into a Chicken…sounds ridiculous, right? Well, that’s exactly where things get interesting.
Once upon a time, there was a boy with a very unusual superpower.
No, he couldn’t fly.
No, he didn’t shoot lasers from his eyes.
And nope, no invisibility cloak either.
His power? He could turn into an animal.
Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Ooh, maybe a tiger? A wolf? A majestic eagle?”
Nope. Not even close.
He could turn into… a chicken.
Yes. A chicken.
With feathers. And a beak. And that awkward waddle.
Bet you didn’t see that one coming.
It all started one sunny afternoon when he was playing in his backyard. That’s when he spotted it; a glowing green chicken. Its feathers shimmered like neon lights, and the boy, who loved the color green, couldn’t resist. He scooped the bird into his hands, stared at it in awe… and then, for reasons he couldn’t explain even to himself… he licked it.
The moment his tongue touched that feathery glow, and POOF!
Feathers sprouted. His arms shrank into wings. His nose stretched into a beak.
He was now… a chicken.
At first, he thought, “Okay… maybe this is cool?” But within two minutes, he realized… no. This was not cool. He couldn’t breathe fire. He couldn’t run super fast. He couldn’t even fly. He could only… cluck. And peck. And awkwardly scratch the ground.
So he decided to keep his “gift” a secret. Not even his parents or best friends could know. Because imagine the teasing: “Hey, Chicken Boy! Lay us an egg!” Yeah… no thanks.
Unfortunately, secrets have a way of escaping. And his escaped in the most embarrassing way possible.
One day in class, he felt a sneeze coming on. He tried to hold it in as much as he could but big mistake.
“AH-CHOO!”
POOF!
Suddenly, there was a chicken standing where he’d been sitting.
His classmates? They did not think it was awesome; in fact, to them it was such a funny scene that they burst out laughing, clucking, flapping their arms, and calling him names. From that day on, the teasing never stopped, even when he was in human form.
School became miserable. Every day was just another round of chicken jokes and mocking clucks.
Then came The Day.
He was sitting in class, enduring yet another round of “Hey, Chicken Boy, where’s your nest?” when something inside him snapped. His anger boiled over… and began to glow, and for the first time, the same strange green glow he’d first seen on that chicken was on him.
The walls began to tremble. Cracks raced across the ceiling. The ground shook like an earthquake. Students scrambled for the exits, but the school was collapsing too fast.
When the dust settled, there was only one survivor; the boy, now in chicken form, who had managed to sprint (well, waddle very quickly) out just in time.
The whole town was shocked. No one knew what had caused it. The boy never told.
But you and I? We know.
Moral: Don’t tease people. You never know what powers they might be hiding.
