In a town of criminals, there were three well-behaved boys. Firstly, they were the only people in the town who believed in doing good. They saw the good in everyone around them no matter what. This one time, an old woman came to them asking for a place to lay her head for the night. They could not believe their eyes when they woke up the next morning. The boys woke up to find that the old lady had robbed them of all their stuff. They could not believe that an old grandma could steal from them….. but still, they wanted to change the town….. they hoped that one day their whole town would be full of good people.
The boys had heard stories of a grumpy old ogre who had a reputation for making people around him good. The three boys decided it was time for them to visit the ogre for a solution that would help their town of criminals. They went on a journey deep into the forest looking for the ogre’s cave.
As they were walking in the forest they bumped into a lonely princess. As the boys were passing by the princess’s house, they noticed that she was crying and in pain. Being the good boys they were, they wanted to help the princess. The princess had been living in the forest alone and while she was looking around for some food, she mistakenly stepped on some thorns that hurt her foot. The foot had been in so much pain since then that she had not managed to do anything other than just cry the pain away. The boys helped the princess remove the thorn and they took care of her until she was all healed and ready to start taking care of herself.
Once the princess was all better, the boys continued on their way to the ogre’s cave. The ogre just had one condition; he was lonely and he wanted a princess to live with him. The boys went back to the princess asking for her help and she was happy to come to help the boys most of all, she was also happy to have someone to talk to as she was tired of living alone.
The ogre was happy with this new arrangement that he made a deal with the boys to help them. He agreed to threaten everyone in the town telling them that he had powers of sensing the evil in people and that if any evil was committed, he would eat them and the evil in them.
To their surprise, this trick worked and the whole town started changing as they were all scared of the ogre.
Moral: Fear can make people change.
