Smurfys Bad Temper

Smurfys bad temper
In Smurfys Bad Temper, a short man with a fiery attitude finds himself in big trouble when he lets his anger get the best of him during a simple trip to the movies.

Smurfy was a short man with a terrible temper. He got angry easily, sometimes even so angry that he would lash out at people who upset him. Because of this, most people avoided him. They preferred calling him on the phone rather than meeting him in person, even if they needed his help.

One day, Smurfy was at home feeling bored.
To pass the time, he decided to go watch a movie to relax and enjoy himself. He didn’t want to talk to anyone, so he carried a book to read while he waited for the film to start.

On this day, he told himself, “No trouble. Just a quiet day with a good movie.”

But trouble has a funny way of finding those who try to avoid it.

When Smurfy got to the theatre and found his seat, he realized that he had been placed right behind a very tall man. Smurfy tried shifting left, then right, then sitting up straighter, but no matter what he did, he couldn’t see the screen properly.

“This won’t work,” he muttered to himself.

He leaned forward and tapped the tall man on the shoulder.
“Excuse me,” Smurfy said, “would you mind switching seats with me so I can see better?”

The tall man turned, looked down at him, and sneered.
“Move along, you little mouse. I don’t deal with short stuff.”

Smurfy’s face turned red. His hands curled into fists.
The anger bubbled up fast, and before he could stop himself, he grabbed his book and smacked the tall man on the head.
Once. Twice. Again.
People gasped as the man slumped forward, dizzy and dazed.

The movie stopped. The lights came on. Staff rushed in. An ambulance was called to take the tall man to the hospital.

As for Smurfy? He was taken to the police station.
The theatre had a strict no-fighting rule, and he had just broken it.

The next day, Smurfy stood before a judge.
The judge looked sternly at him and said, “You don’t need a long time in jail. What you need is a short time alone, to think about how you let your anger control you.”

Smurfy spent five days in solitary confinement. No talking, no distractions. Just time to sit and think.

Maybe this was the lesson he needed.

Moral: Learn to control your emotions before they control you. Anger can hurt others, but it can hurt you, too.
