Timo didn’t know it yet, but an invisible guardian angel was always by his side, watching over him, even when it felt like everything he tried went terribly wrong.
Once upon a time, there was a young boy named Timo who felt like nothing ever went right for him.
Whenever Timo tried to help around the house, something would go wrong. If he tried to wash the dishes, the water would stop running or even, he would just make a simple turn and find all the dishes cleaned and ready. If he wanted to sweep the floor, the broom would break! With every task, something mysterious would always happen.
At first, Timo thought, “Hmm, maybe I’m just unlucky…”
But as the days passed, he started to feel sad, like no one really needed him. “Maybe I’m cursed,” he thought one evening, sitting alone under a mango tree.
So Timo went to visit a wise woman in the village who everyone called Mama Mrembo. She was known for helping people understand strange things.
Mama Mrembo lit a sweet-smelling fire, danced around Timo, and chanted softly. “Let the truth be shown,” she whispered.
Suddenly, a bright light glowed in the room, and a glowing figure appeared, soft and kind with warm eyes and gentle wings.
It was Timo’s guardian angel.
“Why do you always stop me from helping?” Timo asked. “Why do you make things disappear or break when I try to do something?”
The angel smiled sadly. “I’m not trying to stop you, Timo. I’ve only been keeping you safe. Some things could have hurt you.”
“But I want to try!” Timo said, frustrated. “I want to learn and grow. I don’t want to be treated like a baby!”
The angel shook his head gently. “I can’t stop protecting you. That’s my job.”
Timo grew angry. He didn’t feel heard at all. In a burst of frustration, he slapped the angel.
“I don’t want your help anymore!”
The angel looked hurt. Slowly, he disappeared, leaving only a shimmer in the air.
From that day on, things became harder for Timo. Really hard.
He fell off his bike, dropped his books in a puddle, and once, he even nearly got hit by a speeding car. Life no longer had those mysterious saves and lucky escapes.
That’s when Timo realized something he had always taken for granted: “I may not have understood what my angel was doing… but he was always helping me.”
He sat under the mango tree and whispered, “I’m sorry, guardian angel. I miss you.”
From far above, a gentle breeze blew through the leaves. It felt warm… like a hug.
Moral of the story: Sometimes, help doesn’t look the way we expect. Don’t chase away those who care for you, even when you don’t understand their ways.
