He Should Have Thought Twice

He Should Have Thought Twice
This story is about a boy who should have thought twice before making a drastic decision that changed his life forever

There was a little boy who lived in a big house. With no siblings to play with, he always felt alone and lonely. He felt that his parents were very strict and never let him leave the house. They always told him, “Stay in this house or you’ll be stolen!” He always thought his parents were exaggerating and wished he could see the world outside.

One day, the boy decided he had had enough and wanted to see what life was like outside his house. He waited until his parents were gone and quietly sneaked out. At first, he was excited to be free and explore, but soon he realized he didn’t have any food or a place to sleep. The nights were cold and he was worried it might rain, which would make things even harder for him

While still searching for a place to stay, the boy met a kind-looking man who said he lived in a special place called an “adoption center” with lots of food and new friends.

The boy thought this sounded wonderful. He could only imagine himself playing around with other children, so he decided to follow the man.

Once they were down a darl alley, things took a scary turn. The man suddenly became very mean and hit the boy on his head causing him to fall asleep.

When the boy woke up, he found himself in a strange place, surrounded by other kids who were working hard on a farm. He realized with a sinking heart that he had been tricked. He was now in a place where he had to work all day, didn’t get enough food, and was often punished.

With nowhere to go, the boy now had to get used to his new life as a worker.

He really missed his old home. He realised that even though his home wasn’t perfect, he wished he had stayed there and been a good child.

Moral of the story: Listen to your parents. What you have might not seem perfect, but it’s often better than what is out there.
