Joan the crazy

This tale is about Joan the crazy. There was once a girl named Joan who had the biggest imagination anyone could ask for. She sadly lost her parents to a car crash one day and she was adopted by a cruel lady. She spent most of her time locked up in the basement playing games by herself. As the cruel lady did not allow her to leave the house at all. One day, Joan’s aunt and uncle came to visit her just to check on how she was doing. The cruel lady wanted to show them how she took great care of Joan. She prepared one of the guest rooms.  She told Joan to tell them that this particular room was the one she always slept in.

When they arrived, they noticed Joan was different. She had spent so much time by herself that she had forgotten how to interact with other people. She was doing weird things around them and when they tried to touch her or talk to her, all she could do was scream at them. To try and cover the mess, the cruel lady told Joan to go play in her room. Joan made her way to the basement. Joan forgot her deal to go to the guest room that had been prepared for her.

“Is that her room?” her aunt and uncle asked.

“No, no, no”, said the cruel lady “She is just going to the basement to pick some of her toys. But this did not seem believable to them. The cruel lady quickly ran after Joan, grabbed one of her old toys and pulled her to the guest room that had been prepared earlier.

While in the guest room, she started looking around the room for things to play with. Everything looked so nice and different that she just needed something new to play with. It was then that she saw a fishing rod hidden in one of the cupboards.

She started playing with the fishing rod, remembering the good old days when her parents would take her fishing. She had to get out of there, she thought. “I do not want to continue living with this cruel lady.” Her days in the basement had had her imagine some cruel things, but nothing prepared her for what she was about to do.

As soon as Joan’s aunt and uncle left, they went straight to the police station to report what they had observed in the house. The cruel lady on the other hand was going to pick Joan and send her back to the basement where she belonged, but unluckily for her, Joan the crazy had different plans. As soon as the cruel lady opened the door, Joan threw the fishing hook right at her face causing it to slit her throat.  Joan then ran out of the house holding the cruel lady’s head and shouting “I’m finally free”.

Just then, her aunt and uncle came back with the police only to find the cruel lady laying dead in the guest room.
