The tale of the unlucky fisherman had the worst of luck, but soon, things took a different turn.
Once upon a time, in a little seaside village, there was a fisherman named Jack who seemed to have the worst luck imaginable. Every time Jack set out to catch fish, his boat would flip over and dump him into the chilly sea.
At first, he thought it was just a series of unfortunate accidents. But after the third time it happened, he started to wonder if he might be cursed.
Determined to get to the bottom of this mystery, Jack decided to do something different on his next fishing trip. Instead of his usual routine, he brought along a diving suit. Early one morning, he set sail, ready to discover what was causing his boat to tip over.
As expected, his boat soon flipped over, sending Jack tumbling into the water. With his diving suit on, Jack swam underneath his boat. And there, to his surprise, he saw the culprit—a big, grinning shark!
The shark was rolling around in the water and laughing, as if it was having a great time making Jack’s life difficult.
Jack couldn’t believe his eyes. “So that’s what’s been causing all the trouble!” he thought. He knew he needed a plan to stop the shark’s mischief.
Back at his garage, Jack got to work. He built a clever little device—a sensor that could detect when something was near the boat. As soon as the sensor picked up something approaching, it would trigger a harmless net to catch the intruder, but without hurting them.
The next time Jack went fishing, he set up his new device. When the shark tried to flip the boat again, the sensor quickly sprang into action. A soft net gently enveloped the shark, making it easy for Jack to bring it onboard.
Jack carefully released the shark far from his boat and watched it swim away, still chuckling but no longer a troublemaker. Proud of his invention and happy to have solved the mystery, Jack returned home.
That evening, for the first time in a very long time, Jack’s family enjoyed a delicious dinner of fish – shark fish – what a rare treat for them!
They were all delighted, and Jack felt proud of his clever solution.
And from that day on, the fisherman never had another boat-flipping problem.
