The Book of Fate

The book of fate

There was once a boy named Alex who had been feeling really sad for a long time. Things hadn’t been going well for him over the past couple of years. The only thing that made him feel better was reading books. He read tons of them – any book he could get his hands on! Even his friends knew how much he loved reading because he was always asking to borrow their books.

Alex was starting to lose hope, and even his favorite books weren’t making him as happy as they used to. He was usually pretty gloomy, but when he got lost in funny or exciting stories, you could always catch him smiling.

One day at the library, Alex decided to try reading something completely different. As he wandered through the aisles, he discovered a strange section that didn’t have any label. There was just one dusty shelf with a few mysterious books on it. Every single book had a plain black cover with no title or pictures – nothing at all written on the outside.

One of the books seemed to be calling to him. He grabbed it and headed to his favorite reading corner to check it out. When he opened to the first page, he couldn’t believe his eyes – his own name was written right there in big, bold letters! “That’s pretty cool,” he thought. “The author has the exact same name as me!” But as he kept reading, things got really, really weird.

Alex returned the book to the shelf and went back to his regular life – going to school and hanging out with friends. Then something strange started happening. Everything that happened to him felt like he’d experienced it before. Suddenly, he remembered where – he had read about all of it in that mysterious book!

He rushed back to the library and found the black book again. Sure enough, the book had been writing about HIM, and it knew everything that was going to happen in his future! His hands were shaking as he flipped through the pages. Then, after a few more pages, something shocking happened – all the rest of the pages were completely blank.

“What does this mean?” Alex wondered, his heart pounding. He was really scared. According to the book, the last thing that would happen was him taking a train to visit his grandparents in the countryside. And then… nothing.

Just like the book predicted, Alex found himself sitting on a train heading to the countryside. To be honest, he was terrified. After taking some deep breaths to calm down, he noticed a kind-looking girl about his age sitting across from him.

He had a choice: he could either say hi and try to make a new friend, or he could just sit quietly by himself. Since this might be his last chance to do something brave, he decided to go for it. He started talking to her, and it turned out they had SO much in common! They loved the same books, the same games, and even the same pizza toppings. They became really good friends and promised to stay in touch.

That friendship ended up changing everything for Alex. Having someone who understood him helped chase away his sadness. He started feeling happy again and enjoying life.

Later on, Alex finally understood why those pages had been blank. On that day, he’d had two choices – to talk to the girl or to stay silent. The future wasn’t written yet because HE got to decide what happened next. And he was really glad he’d made the choice he did.
