The People of Oaklog

The People of Oaklog
The people of Oaklog tried to adopt to moden living but found themselves missing what they knew.

Nestled deep in the lush forests of Zebu was a hidden village called Oaklog. Life here was simple and peaceful. The people of Oaklog loved to live quietly, far away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. Their lives were filled with traditions and old ways, and they were content.

One day, a curious explorer from a far-off land stumbled upon Oaklog during one of his adventures. He was amazed by the village and its unique way of life. He wanted to change them and modernise their way of living. He knew sharing this discovery and showing the world how he managed to transform them would make him very famous and featured in newspapers all around the world.

Eager to share his knowledge, the explorer taught the villagers about modern living. He brought with him new gadgets and tools, and even some impressive technology like guns for protection. The villagers, although wary, welcomed the changes because they initially felt they would be good for the village.

At first, everything seemed exciting. The villagers learned about new inventions and ways to make life easier. However, as time went on, they began to miss their old, simple ways of life. The explorer’s new ways started to feel overwhelming, and they longed for the days when they lived without so much change.

As time passed, the villagers secretly hoped that the explorer and his team would leave so they could return to their traditional ways. But the explorer was determined to see the villagers adapt to the modern world. He watched over them closely, hoping they would become as advanced as the outside world.

Eventually, the villagers decided they had had enough. Unable to chase away the explorer, they packed their things and left Oaklog behind, searching for a new place where they could live the way they wanted.

The explorer, now losing his fame and attention, was furious. He felt betrayed and vowed to find them all and bring them back to Oaklog. His new quest never bearing fruit leaving him angry and more bitter.

Meanwhile, the villagers found a new home where they could live happily and freely, just as they wished.

Moral: Respect others’ choices and don’t force them to change.
